You are invited to join St. Mary's for our 2020 Advent Program.

Our theme this year is "The Light of the World." This will be our first joint program of the Central Michigan Episcopal Covenant with St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Big Rapids. This year's program will have a couple different parts to it - both online and offline. You are invited to participate in all of it, or in any part of it.

We hope that you will join us for this season of prayer, reflection, and preparation.

We will gather online each Wednesday of Advent, beginning December 2, at 7 pm. The online meeting will be on Zoom. For the first three weeks, each gathering will have two parts: a meditative prayer experience and discussion of the book "Light of World: A Beginner's Guide to Advent" by Amy Jill Levine. You are welcome to join the discussion even if you are not reading the book. The program will be led by Nancy Foster of St. Mary's, Betty Stolarek of St. Andrew's, and Deacon Radha.

To join by phone, dial +1 (312) 626-6799. When prompted, enter meeting ID: 745 519 1600.

All are invited to join us in reading "Light of the World," whether or not you attend the online discussion. If you join us in reading it on your own, you can always call a friend (or Deacon Radha) to reflect together on the book. If you would like a copy of the book, please contact Deacon Radha at rector.cmec@gmail.com.

Advent Wreaths and Soups

The Advent wreath is a tangible way of marking time during the Advent season. Click the link below to find ideas and prayers for making your own Advent wreath at home. We would love to see your wreath! You can share a picture on the St. Andrew's Facebook page.

Advent Wreath Prayers

Members of both covenant parishes shared their favorite soup recipes. We hope they add warmth to your Advent season.
